Lazy day

Piccy of the rubber trees out the back of my bungalow - it's quite peaceful standing there under them with all the birds around in the morning - this is from yesterday, there was a lovely breeze coming through and the morning sun was low enough that it wasn't hot yet.

Today my burns are still a bit nasty so I decided to have another day in bed and being lazy.

The remainder of the burns are still looking pretty raw...
this was confirmed by Sam who dropped by this afternoon. He left his mopeds keys with me so he doesn't go driving it after a few hours drinking this afternoon. He set off to find a pub at 3:30 so I imagine it's going to be a long session!

I've made it clear I'm not going to be drinking alcohol for quite a while...if at all in Thailand. I'm looking forward to that bottle of 1997 Bordeaux that's sitting at home waiting..though a glass will probably floor me by then! Sam said he'd have invited me but knows I'm still detoxing.. might join him and David and Suz for a drink before I leave but I'm not making any promises to anyone about that - not sure my body's going to be ready for it for a while. :o)

The other things I did today were to play around with movie maker a bit more and try to sort out my MP3 player which has been acting up. So all in all I've had a quiet techie day..it's been really nice. The air con and extra sleep seems to be helping my burn heal more quickly.

I finished the apples I bought from the market for breakfast and have come to Don's again for dinner. Branched out into trying a different dish..I had the (fat) noodles with vegetables and chicken this evening. It was yummy...not the best most amazing noodle dish I've ever had but it certainly did the job. Fruit was a little warm too...last night I noticed the knife used to cut the fruit obviously went through some onion beforehand.

Since the detox I've been missing the daily colemas - I've had a touch of constipation - which ended last night with a touch of the runs! Fingers crossed it's just my system getting used to food again and it'll settle back down again soon. I think I was far more open talking about bodily functions when the colema was a part of daily life...now I feel a bit embarrassed talking about it! Strange but good...challenging the old comfort zones!!

So not much left to say about today - other than I would've gone back home half an hour ago except that a storm came through. It was so bad they've shut all the big plastic curtains around the open air areas and moved a load of tables into the middle of the restaurant..I guess I'll have to take some photos of Don's at some point...I'm sure the waitresses will find me even stranger!

Lotsalove n hugs! xxx
