Flyday!!!!!!!!!

Today is Friday and I understand it’s Good Friday so not only is it my other half’s b’day it’s also a public holiday for everyone in the UK.

I woke up this morning with really puffy eyes and my skin still in a lot of pain. Last night coming back from Don’s my shoulders were so painful I couldn’t carry my backpack properly. I did get myself up this morning as I was running out of cash and needed to catch Danny to get some cash from the stash I have in the safe. I saw David on the ski machine and he asked how I’d been – showed him the sun burn which produced a pained look on his face. I asked if Suz was around and he said she’d been asking after me. So I went over to say hello and showed her the sunburn..she suggested I get one of the trainers to take me out to get some aloe vera (apparently it grows naturally here and is all over the place, I thought I’d seen some but couldn’t remember where).
She noticed my eyes as well and said she thought I have sun stroke and I should drink some aloe vera juice, plenty of water and go back to bed. So today has mainly involved many many many applications of my aftersun (again) and sleeping..I had the pomelo I bought at the market for brekkie, followed by two of the massive apples I got there as well.

I heard everyone training again this afternoon which had to mean it was after 4pm..so I decided it was about time I stopped idling watching/sleeping through the movies. My shoulders are starting to feel normal again – there’s a gradient of colour and moisture on my skin now – it moves from very red and dry to brown and overmoisturised! So I’ve got arches of red upside on my shoulders now. Another day and I should be back to normal for the most part.

I made my other half a b’day video this afternoon and have taken some shots from it for photos. Watching the video back and looking at the photos I’ve taken since I’ve been here I’m starting to notice that I look different….I felt yesterday like nothing has changed at all but having seen these images – I’m encouraged and find it encouraging to think those thoughts of doubt are wrong J This is turning into a bit of a voyage of self discovery, I’m sure that’s no surprise to Mum and others..
Nice surprise for me though!

Seeing as I’ve only eaten 3 pieces of fruit today I think it’s time I get my regulation green chicken curry in! Love to you all xxxxx
