Getting ready to go..

Since writing my first post...I've decided to extend the trip to 2 months instead, starting with a 10 day detox. I was umming and ahhing about whether to extend and Phuket came on the news as we were talking about it..first time I've ever seen Phuket on this news channel - kinda took it as a little nudge from wherever..so 2 months it is!

While I'm preparing to leave the country for 9 weeks I figure it's an ideal time to declutter. There are many reasons I'm going to Phuket, but one of the main reasons is to declutter my body, so in keeping with that I'm running around clearing out the piles of rubbish I've accumulated in the last 10 years.

I didn't mention before that the detox I'm going to put my body through involves colon cleansing..oh yes! I'll also be drinking some clay solution and not eating a whole lot. Reading up on the process I noticed that they include the 'tip' and gel in the price whether you are going for one session or a full program... this is going to be one interesting experience. For the full gruesome details and general info on the detox from the training site: http://www.rawaimuaythai.com/colon-detox-phuket-thailand.htm
Since writing this and getting some feedback I feel I should add something here, people are generally not too comfortable with talking about their digestive systems and the way this part of the body works..or anything to do with it for that matter.
So if you're offended don't read this until about the 24th March when that portion of my time out there will have finished! For me it's an integral part of the process in acheiving a couple of my goals and in documenting this process it's got to be mentioned.

I get a bit of a kick out of the times in life when coincidences start happening, I always feel like I'm 'on the right path' when they do..though the lower points in between also end up being lessons which come in handy somewhere down the line..anyway..back to my point! Since deciding to do this trip I've noticed a MuayThai fighter who trained in Phuket appearing on The Daily Show, Phuket on the news - due to the golf and I'm so much happier than I have been for a long time.
I found my old passports the other day and noticed that I seem to keep going back to Thailand nearly every 10 years. Can't wait to go back again!

I've started to sort out what I'm going to take with me, apparently people take 4-5 showers a day. The temperature seems to be between 25 and 30c with high levels of humidity at the moment, great for sweating standing still and working up an even better sweat. I know it's going to be hard going, and probably harder than I'm able to imagine at the moment..but I can't wait to get started!!! xx
