Another day another training session!
I definitely have more energy now that I'm eating and the chicken last night didn't seem to cause any problems. I was able to do 10K on the ski machine this morning and was still OK at the end of it! More shadow boxing in the ring and 4 rounds with Bang. I think in total this morning I trained for an hour and a half but it was again higher intensity and it's getting easier.
I realised I've only brought 3 pairs of shorts to train in so I'm probably going to buy some proper Muay Thai shorts for training, either that or find a way to get to one of the shopping areas.
I'm developing a bit of a routine now...I get up and am training by around 7. This carries on until 8:30 - 9 o'clock depending on who's around (this morning I sat chatting to Jessica who's from the States and Tim and Steve from London). Bang, my trainer keeps offering to take me to the beach swimming if I want to go...I've got to train with this guy over the next 7 and a half weeks so I'm trying to work out how to stay friendly but make sure no one gets the wrong idea! I'm hoping I'm getting completely the wrong idea and that he's just being friendly but I'd rather be cautious on this one.
After training I'm absolutely soaked so the wet stuff gets laid out to dry (before it goes in the wash)..I have a shower and hand wash my wraps and shorts (if necessary). Everything gets rung out and laid out on the clothes horse out front for the heat of the day (the wraps are usually completely dry by early afternoon).
A couple of mornings I've fallen asleep after my shower, this morning was one of those. I was reading my book and drifted off. My hips are still a little creaky groany so I'm trying to make sure I do the yoga moves suggested to me at Atsumi. I have a new found respect for my gluteal muscles...they are getting seriously toned at the moment. Between rounds in the ring Bang gets me doing 10 pushups - I am doing the girly version (pushing up from the knees rather than the feet), my stomach and back can't yet handle the full ones! So I am a little collection of happy sore muscles -shoulders, pecs, and bum!
Once I do get myself moving I walk down to Don's cafe where I usually have breakfast and write the first half of my blog (though I'm starting to think this is going to get very repetetive very quickly)! This morning Bang saw me and insisted on giving me a lift..very kind but I am wary!
There are a couple of movie channels which usuaully broadcast in English and seem to run all the movies I've been meaning to catch up on over the last 10 years! So occasionally I'll watch a movie during the heat of the day or fall asleep with it on :o)
The afternoons: I need to work on at the moment. I think getting a take away salad was a great way to make sure I eat and miss the main blast of heat of the day.. At 4pm the training starts up again. I haven't made it to those sessions since I first started, but am building up to it. So for the rest of today I think I'm going to get a salad for lunch to take with me..probably sleep for a bit again..watch a movie..read my book...take it easy and let my body heal itself!
Apologies if I've missed any Tinglish in my posts...I've realised that without even sounding like it in my head I've automatically started typing in Thai English. I guess it's been absorbed and integrated naturally! xx

Hi daughter dear
Will we recognise you when you come back, I ask myself. Sounds as if you will be a bronzed goddess! I am sitting in Scotland with brilliant sunshine pouring in the kitchen window behind me - lovely. Have just had porridge and fruit and now going to have shower then take the dog for the long walk up the hill. Had lots of dreams last night and it is the anniversary of Barry's death. When I walked yesterday I found a white feather just as I was thinking I wonder if he's here and then as I walked back I started singing a track from my Katherine Jenkins CD, Time to Say Goodbye, and as I sang I saw a huge black feather sticking up out of the grass - weird coincidence I thought!! We are driving back this afternoon, work for 2 days then I'm off to France on Wednesday to stay with Clare. Did my first Toastmasters talk last Tuesday, and was voted best speaker!! I am chuffed. I have done some more writing this weekend, so pleased about that too.
Take care my little petal. lotsaluv xxxxxx
