Days 8 & 9

I'm coming into the evening of Day 9 now.

It seems that the rainy season has started a couple of months early in Phuket this year..it doesn't usually start until May or June (global warming?)...it tends to get really really really hot and then we have a thunderstorm which is lovely - the temperature falls right down and it's a bit easier to do everything.

So, Day 8 after writing my blog I went down to the morning gathering, where I picked the Tarot card, The Fool..now I'm never sure what this card is all about..though a few people helped to explain what it can mean. It has a picture of the Fool happily taking a step off a cliff. It can be jumping into the void without a care in the world..also it may be that people are taking advantage of the fool and also that perhaps it appears people are taking advantage but actually the fool is not the fool. I'm still working this out a little in my head so I'm not sure much of that will make sense..but I had 2 thoughts in response to what people had to say...
one that I was the fool the afternoon before, I wanted to use my laptop to write my blog and sort out my things on the internet but so many other people wanted to use it I ended letting them and missed out on doing things for me.

The other though was about the next two months - I've started to think about what lies ahead after I've finished here..I feel like we've got a nice group of people here and I'm going to miss them when they're gone but at the same time I can appreciate them coming and going.

After the session, our usual ritual -the colema which is now looking very dark or black again..must have more mucoid plaque to get through! This morning I got the spontaneous urge to start reiki-ing myself during the process which was a lovely experience - lots of energy around.

I booked a reflexology session with Areti and also had my even day check up. I had loads of energy but physically got very tired very quickly. Areti had mentioned if I was feeling cramping feelings to reduce the amount of psyillium in my shakes and that certainly helped.

The reflexology session surprised me..I knew I had a bit of soreness in my feet every now and then but it wasn't too bad. The crystals in my feet in certain areas were really sharp! Overall though it was very relaxing and I'm really glad I had the session. You should never use reflexology specifically for diagnosis but it can be pretty accurate. Areti mentioned I had a lot to work on in the liver area and my solar plexus (again) was where I really felt the sharpest pain. She worked a lot on my adrenal glands as well which apparently get over tired and stop working when you go through a lot of stress...might explain why I've been so exhausted for so long.

The marketing blurb for this place usually goes 'are you sick and tired of being sick and tired'. Hit the nail on the head for me before I arrived. Still tired now but then that's all part of the detox and the fact I haven't eaten for so long!

After the reflexology and passing out in the reception area again for a bit a few of us went down to the beach. Lovely afternoon, though we did get a few bites from sea mites..
Back up for the 4 o'clock colema and then at 5 three of us headed off to the steam room.

Hannah made plans to meet with american John who got fed up with this place and left the other day. He's training at a different Muay Thai camp which sounds like it might be better than the one I'm at so I did fancy talking to him. Dee and I went along to Friendship beach with Hannah and listened to the band playing music next to the pool. It's lovely down there, soft lighting really friendly staff..Dee and I were on the sparkling water with a little lime juice and Hannah broke her fast (she was at the end of day 10) when John turned up.
He had a bacon cheeseburger which looked and smelt divine. All the food at friendship beach is organic and unpasteurised...and all looks delicious. The burger was so great...I told John I hope he didn't mind but I'd be eating it with him through smell!

We didn't stay that late - it had been raining pretty hard earlier and we were all ready to turn in, so Hannah took Dee back to Atsumi. On the way she realised she had another flat tyre (her third!). We limped into Atsumi and had to call a taxi to get her back and then me finally home. Not much fun but I think I would take Tim's (older British gentleman who's been in Thailand for some years) advice..if you are going to hire a car - go with Budget, Avis etc..they may be more expensive but definitely worth it.

Day 9 - feeling ok this morning, got ready very quickly and saw Lola from next door...I haven't seen her really since she broke her fast. She's been going out partying with everyone from the camp so has put on most of the weight she lost and is now really getting into the training before they head back to Sweden in the next 10 days. I think that was a bit of a lesson in breaking the fast!

This morning I couldn't do most of the yoga session - I just didn't have the energy. I'm absolutely knackered. I picked a card which is something like we are the world or the world...and there are lots of people getting together all around a globe. I think this comes back to what I was thinking about the day before with the next bit of my trip. So I took this card to relate to letting go of any lingering fears about meeting people and just trust that I will meet people as I go and it's nothing to worry about. We're never alone.

I have spent most of the day lying around..I've been so tired and exhausted I'm really looking forward to eating again on Monday morning. Only one more full day to go now!
I did another Ion cleanse this morning...this time is was completely different...very orange which is joints (my hips have been pretty bad lately), white foam and white cheesy stuff...not enough yeast and mucous from the lymph!

Right I'm off now..Yee who drives everyone to the steam room and back will be back soon and will want to leave pronto...so Ciao for now! :o) xxxx
